Join pastor shawn and the gang at Calvary Chapel Birmingham as they study verse by verse through the Bible. With this podcast, we begin our study of Mark 13 with verses 1 - 8, with a few interesting observations about the Temple and what Jesus says about it's destruction that bear application for our lives today. We'll talk about distractions and how God will at times shake us so that distractions from Him fall away. We'll also talk about what it means to meditate on the Word of God and why we should do that today as well as the bearing that the destruction of the Temple and the genealogical records held within have on us today, how problems within the church at large can be fixed and avoided (including replacement theology) and end times.
