Join pastor shawn and the gang at Calvary Chapel Birmingham as they study verse by verse through the Bible. Today we finish our study of Mark chapter 14 with verses 53-72. We'll talk about why Judas had to identify Jesus with a kiss. We'll ask why Roman Soldiers were working for the religious leaders? We'll talk about Annas, Caiaphas, and this sinister trial of Jesus. It may surprise you to learn that this trial was illegal in many ways. Also we'll talk about the dangers of following Jesus from a distance, and three ways to maintain a close walk with the Lord. We'll talk about bearing false witness and how Christians may be doing that. We'll talk about the false teaching that we are passive victims of sin and temptation and the dangers of that theology. Of course, we'll major in the majors and minor in the minors as we celebrate God's love, grace and mercy.
