Join pastor shawn and the gang at Calvary Chapel Birmingham as they study verse by verse and chapter by chapter through the Bible. Today we finish our study in the book of Mark. We'll examine the death, burial and resurrection and ascension of Jesus. We'll zero in on Joseph who, while a hidden disciple, was "waiting for the Kingdom of God" Why was he a "hidden disciple" and did that make him an ineffective disciple? We'll talk about the tomb Jesus was placed in, burial customs, and what about an ossuary or bone box with the name "Jesus" on it? Does that mean the resurrection is wrong? We'll talk about overcoming problems and Who we should be looking to in our time of trouble. We'll talk about seven reasons why the resurrection of Jesus is important and what does the Greek word Horizo have to do with the resurrection of Jesus? We'll talk about angels and an amazing picture of the mercy seat created in the tomb. We'll also talk about the gifts of the Spirit. Finally, we'll talk about positioning ourselves to be filled, how we do that and why we do that. This a teaching that is overflowing with good news, so won't you dig in with us?
