Join pastor shawn and the gang at Calvary Chapel Birmingham as we study verse by verse through the Bible. Today we continue our study through the Gospel of Luke with chapter 3. In our study, we will consider the voracity of the Bible ... was Pontius Pilate a real person? We'll talk about the ministry of John the Baptist and how He paved the way for the Messiah by teaching repentence. We'll talk about being on fire for the Lord and what to do if that fire has dwindled. Was John the Baptist "seeker sensitive?" We'll talk about the deception of believing that nationality, social standing, and ancestry play a part in salvation. We'll discuss fruit ... just what is fruit in the life of a believer? What does it mean to be "saved?" We'll also talk about the genealogy of Jesus ... who made it into that list and why. It's a full buffet of God's Word, so let's dig in.
